gDMSS Lite is a handy surveillance mobile app available for free that enables users to monitor various locations via their synced devices.
Understanding gDMSS Lite
Once gDMSS Lite is initialized, the user needs to grant permissions for the app to access media files and GPS location tracking. Subsequently, the user must select their country from a provided list and then proceed to the Home menu. The Home menu features four primary icons: Camera, Door, Alarm, and More. These icons represent the areas where the user can view the live feeds from their registered devices, with the Camera function also providing video playback capabilities.
If the connected devices are equipped with microphones, the app allows users to communicate through them or record voice messages. Each of these tabs opens a side panel menu for additional settings, such as Device Manager and Local Files. However, the Camera tab offers the most configuration options. While adding devices is relatively straightforward, users may occasionally face issues like playback corruption.
The "More" button reveals further settings including Protection, Reset Device Password, and app information. Although gDMSS Lite is designed for casual users and lacks some advanced features found in gDMSS Plus, it does have its own set of issues. For instance, it may ask for permissions that have already been granted, or settings may not save correctly. Additionally, the live feed quality can decrease even when connected to Wi-Fi.
